Rep. of Seo Taeji Company clarified Lee Ji Ah’s comments made during the ‘Healing Camp.’ 

On 11, Rep. of Seo Taeji stated “Some parts related to Seo Taeji (that Lee Ji Ah mentioned about Seo Taeji during the show) were not true and we would like to clarify the fact since rumors have been spread and even re-created.” 

He explained “Two people, as like other common couples, started dating after receiving permission from both parents. Seo Taeji got to know her in 1993 though Lee’s sister’s introduction but they had not married or lived together. Three years later, after Seo quitted his career as a singer and went to the U.S. and they became love each other and registered their marriage in Sep.1997 when Lee Ji Ah became an adult.          

Also, he added “While they were living in the U.S., they used to invite their friends, relatives and families to their house and spent times together. Except that two people did not open to the public about their marriage with consent, many acquaintances have known for their relationship and marriage.” 

Rep. of Seo Tae Ji Company also mentioned that “Unfortunately, from certain time being, they were not able to reach to both parents, but the reasons only can be answered from the two.”    

Rep. of Seo Tae Ji explained the rumor that Lee Ji Ah was confined during her marriage as well.  

He said, “Two people had gone for shopping, travel and eat out. The reason why two people had lived in the U.S. was because they believed they could enjoy freedom there. They had lived like other common people, traveled a lot.”    

“For Seo Tae Ji, living in the U.S was a long time ago and it is one hurtful part of his life that he cannot turn back. He also understands her pain. The reasons why he kept in silence are because he felt huge responsibility for the past that they shared together,” said the Rep.     

For the last he stated “We hope that the truth would not be distorted so that he would not be condemned one-sidedly. “ 

Meanwhile, on the 11, Lee Ji Ah talked about Seo Tae Ji during the show, SBS ‘Healing Camp,’ and it has recreated rumors on one-line, causing issues.

We would like to make clarification on the parts that have been told during one show aired on August 11. Since rumors have been recreated and spread widely we would like to clarify the truth.  

1. Two people, as like other common couples, started dating after receiving permission from both parents 

Seo Taeji got to know her in 1993 though Lee’s sister’s introduction but they had not married or lived together.

Three years later, after Seo quitted his career as a singer and went to the U.S. and they became love each o

ther and registered their marriage in Sep.1997 when Lee Ji Ah became an adult.  

While they were living in the U.S., they used to invite their friends, relatives and families to their house and spent times together. Except that two people did not open to the public about their marriage with consent, many acquaintances have known for their relationship and marriage

After two years and 7 months marriage, they started living apart. Since then there was not even a de facto marriage relationship between the two and decided to get divorced with consent in 2006.
