G-Dragon to drop “Power” today

G-Dragon be dropping his pre-release digital single “POWER” today at 6 p.m.

His digital single marks his first solo comeback since the release of his 2017 album, “Kwon Ji Yong.”

Ahead of the album release, G-Dragon gave fans a glimpse of the track with a live Instagram broadcast at midnight, where he introduced “Power” in a unique performance. Appearing in a recording studio, he lip-synced to the song, delivering a hip and energetic vibe, raising fans’ anticipation.

The previous day, G-Dragon appeared on the tvN’s “You Quiz on the Block,” where he explained the meaning behind the song. “This song is about ‘power,’ and for me, ‘power’ is music. Looking back on the seven-year break from a third-person perspective, I realized the significant influence of media. I aimed to create a song that offers a satirical take on power, one that harmonizes my own strength with the current scene to find a balanced intersection.”
