Upcoming occult film “Dark Nuns” starring Song Hye-kyo has been pre-sold to 160 countries, according to the film’s investor and distributor, NEW, on Friday.
According to NEW, the film will be released sequentially starting this month and in Indonesia and Mongolia, followed by the Philippines, Australia, New Zealand, Thailand, Malaysia and Vietnam by next month.
The film, which is set to be released on January 24, just before the Lunar New Year holiday, tells the story of Sister Yunia (played by Song Hye-kyo) and Sister Michaela (played by Jeon Yeo-been) as they undertake a forbidden ritual to save a boy possessed by a powerful evil spirit. Directed by Jang Jae-hyun, the film is a sequel to the 2015 release “The Priests.”
