Hitman 2, released on Wednesday, is a complete showcase of actor Kwon Sang-woo’s acting abilities. The character freely transitions between a middle-aged man with a pitiful aura and a lethal weapon with combat skills, alternating between his main specialties of comedy and action.
In Hitman 2, Kwon retakes his role as Jun, a former intelligence agent turned webtoon artist. His life takes a comedic turn when his art becomes involved in a terrorist plot. A series of terrorist attacks mimicking the plot occur, leading to suspicion that he is the mastermind behind the terror.
As is often the case with sequels, the scale of the action has increased compared to the previous installment, and the frequency of characters focusing on humor has also increased. Kwon Sang-woo’s quick movements remain unchanged, and the action sequences, including explosions and gunfights, are quite convincingly directed.
