Taeyeon has expressed her heartbreak over the abrupt cancellation of her upcoming solo concerts in Tokyo, just two days before the scheduled performances.

On April 18, the Girls' Generation member shared a personal message with fans through her official fan communication platform. “When the news broke about the cancellation, I was overwhelmed with worry for SONE (her fandom) and didn’t know what to say,” she wrote.

“I hate everything about this situation and I’m truly sorry to SONE,” she continued. “It feels like the concert, built from everyone’s hard work and anticipation, was suddenly taken away from me. It’s like it vanished in an instant—and it feels like it was stolen. I don’t even know how to express this emptiness and devastation.”

Her statement came a day after SM Entertainment officially announced on Taeyeon’s Japanese website that her concerts, originally scheduled for April 19 and 20 at Tokyo’s Ariake Arena, had been canceled.

The performances, part of her solo debut 10th anniversary tour titled The TENSE in JAPAN, were expected to be a major highlight for fans in Japan.

SM Entertainment cited “equipment transportation issues” as the reason for the cancellation and stated that the possibility of rescheduling or offering alternative shows is currently under review.
